Mystery radio signals coming from a sun-like star baffle scientists
SETI will track HD 164595 using the Allen Telescope Array in northern California and the Boquete Optical SETI Observatory in Panama. According to a report by Paul Gilster at Centauri Dreams, the signal was first detected on May 15 last year by the RATAN-600 radio telescope in Zelenchukskaya, Russia. HD 164595 is interesting to scientists because it is similar to our own sun and has at least one 'warm Neptune' planet in orbit.
